Processed Wool at Dry Creek Ranch and Rabbitry

We have just a few lots of processed wool on offer from our own wool clips, and from alpaca, llama, angora and mohair fibre purchased from other farms. By "processed" wool, I mean wool that has been at least washed so that the lanolin and most of the veggie matter has been removed. Prices quoted are in Canadian dollars. Please email me for the most up to date dollar conversion for U.S. dollars or Euros. Dry Creek Ranch accepts cheques, money orders and Paypal if you would prefer to use your credit card!

Washed and picked wool Romney wool that has been washed and picked. Can be spun directly from the fluffy lockes that have been picked apart. Nice, bright white colour - nice to dye in this state (before carding). 125 gram packages as samplers or buy up to 1 lb. $2.50 per package or $8.00 per lb

Carded Texel wool - this is washed and carded white wool. 4 to 5 inch staple length with a beautiful crimp and bright white colour. 30 to 40 gram batts - only 4 inches wide for easy spinning. $1.00/batt or $12.00/lb

Carded Romney wool - this is washed and carded white wool. 6 to 7 inch staple length with a beautiful loose crimp and bright white colour. 40 to 50 gram batts - 4 inches wide for easy spinning. $1.50/batt or $14.00/lb

Carded Cotswold wool - this is washed and carded bright white wool. 6 to 8 inch staple length with a beautiful, mohair-like crimp and bright white colour. 35 to 40 gram batts, 4 inches wide for easy spinning. $1.50/batt or $14.00 per lb

Carded Cotswold wool - this is washed and carded bright light grey or dark grey wool. 6 to 8 inch staple length with a beautiful, mohair-like crimp and nice colour. Choose from light grey or dark grey colour. 35 to 40 gram batts, 4 inches wide for easy spinning. $1.75/batt or $16.00 per lb

Carded Medium reddish-brown Alpaca from an alpaca ranch in Alberta. Lovely 3 to 4 inch staple length with a nice, tight crimp and interesting colour. It contains more veggie matter than my own wool batts - still nice to work with, though! 20 to 30 gram batts - very easy to spin! $2.00 per batt
